Breakfast Club provision runs from 8am and will start from the week beginning 19.10.2020.

The following are specific procedures we have put in place to ensure that we keep all children, staff and parents as safe as possible whilst on site and in our care.

  • Reduced numbers of pupils attending the provision;
  • Organised children into Year Group Bubbles of no more than 15;
  • Employed more staff to enable us to arrange children into bubbles;
  • Matched each bubble with a consistent adult for the whole week;
  • If possible, allocated a member of staff who works in that year group during the day to minimise the number of people your child comes into contact with;
  • Organised Bubble Boxes of resources and equipment;
  • Wiping down tables between use;
  • Regular use of anti-bac hand gel and wipes;
  • Follow social distancing guidance where possible and good hand hygiene.

Dropping off: Please enter via the entrance by the main office, not the vehicle gate. Please remember social distancing is vital when dropping off your child and be patient if there are other parents arriving at the same time as you. You will need to use the buzzer (at the main gate) to alert Breakfast Club staff that you have arrived and they will let you in.

Costs: The cost for Breakfast club is currently £3 per day per child.  The full cost of the half term will need to be paid upfront, in advance of the half term you require. This is paid via ParentPay. If payments are not made in advance, your place will be at risk.

If you no longer require this provision, please call or email the school office ASAP so that we can offer it to another family on our waiting list.

We are a dynamic team of friendly, multicultural, experienced professionals who have the children’s best interests at heart. Our 12 Hazelwood Values are a big part of our ethos which all stakeholders are expected to exhibit. For continuity we use the same Behaviour Systems (Good to be Green) that we use throughout the school day.

We offer a safe, stimulating, nurturing environment suitable for all children from Nursery age to Year 6 where everyone is treated with respect. As we are an inclusive school we welcome children with additional needs.

We deliver a range of activities, both inside and outside (weather permitting) sure to cater to everyone’s interests and needs.  To name a few, we have:  arts and crafts, a role play area, fine and gross motor skills activities, a quiet area, construction, board games and team sports.

We have 50 places. Previously it was 80 but we have had to reduce the number as part of our Covid-19 Safety measures.

ASC provision usually runs from 3:30pm until 5:45pm, however due to our staggered start and end of day times, the provision will start at, 2:30, 2:40 or 2:50pm depending on your child’s ‘end of day’ time. Please ensure you send your child in with an appropriate nut free snack and drink.

The following are specific procedures we have put in place to ensure that we keep all children, staff and parents as safe as possible whilst on site and in our care.

  • Organised Bubble Boxes of resources and equipment;
  • Wiping down tables between use;
  • Regular use of anti-bac hand gel and taking children to wash their hands;
  • Children will only be allowed to use their designated toilet; the same one they use during the school day;

Picking Up:  Please remember social distancing is vital when collecting your child and be patient if there are other parents arriving at the same time as you. There is a video buzzer at the main gate to alert staff of your arrival. As an additional security measure there is a second buzzer which you will also need to use at the side gate before being allowed on site. Once you get to Maple Building/the dining Hall, please do not enter, we will bring your child out to you.
